Whether they’re a mountain biker in Queensland, a weekend road warrior in NSW, a fixie fanatic from Victoria, or a ‘mamil’ from Adelaide or Perth, cyclists come in all shapes and sizes – but one thing they have in common is their love of their push bike.
It’s why CHU offers bike cover as part of its standard Contents Insurance for Strata policy – along with a heap of other inclusions of course, such as personal items, electronics etc. It’s an all-in-one contents policy for all your important stuff, including your bike.
Save on bike insurance
CHU Contents Insurance for Strata covers your bike from theft or damage even if it’s stored outside your place. It’s covered away from home when you’re out for the day, it’s even covered if you go on a cycling holiday in Australia and take your bike with you if you select Premier Cover – but you must lock it securely when you’re not using it.
What’s not included?
CHU does not cover damage to the bike while you are riding it, nor does it cover injury to yourself or liability to others when you’re out on the wheels.
What types of cover are available?
CHU Contents Insurance for Strata has two levels of cover depending on how much you want to insure your gear for:
- Basic Cover policy includes cover of up to $1,500 per bike, to a maximum of $2,500
- Premier Cover policy includes cover of up to $5,000 per bike, to a maximum of $25,000
What else should I know?
For each claim on CHU Contents Insurance for Strata there is a $500 excess.
