A piece of jewellery can often be one of the most personally significant things we own, with a special value that can never truly be calculated. But if the worst was to happen – if it gets lost, stolen or destroyed – CHU Contents Insurance for Strata can at least help cover the replacement cost*, even if we can’t replace the memories.
This means, because cover for rings, other jewellery, bikes, mobile phones, electrical equipment and other personal items is included as standard in our contents cover, you don’t need standalone insurance to cover each item. It’s what’s helped make us leaders in personal effects insurance in Australia.
Save on jewellery insurance
CHU Contents Insurance for Strata covers your jewellery for loss or damage, whether you’re at home or out and about. The Premier cover works even if it’s with you when you’re travelling worldwide for up to 90 consecutive days.
What else should I know?
If you have them, make sure you keep receipts in a safe place, otherwise have your jewellery regularly valued by a professional valuer, and consider the replacements cost when looking for a quote.
Like most insurance cover, policyholders pay an excess on each claim. For CHU Contents Insurance for Strata it is just $500 per claim. If your building is one of the almost 1 million insured with CHU Residential Strata Insurance Plan then we waive the excess.
