Whether it’s an engagement ring, wedding band, cygnet ring or a diamond heirloom, a simple ring can be one of the most personally valuable items we own. But what would happen if it was lost or damaged?
The cost of replacing or repairing it can make the loss even more painful than it already is.
Save on ring insurance
With standard CHU Contents Insurance for Strata rings and jewellery, along with other personal items such as mobiles, laptops and bikes, are all covered as part of your contents insurance.
How does it work?
Instead of taking out standalone ring insurance, a CHU Contents Insurance for Strata policy covers the theft or damage to your rings, whether you’re at home or on holiday – just make sure you have the receipts or a recent certified valuation.
Is there an excess?
As with most insurance there’s an excess and for CHU Contents Insurance for Strata there’s just a $500 excess on each claim. See comments on excess waiver
What if my ring is not really worth a lot?
CHU offers two levels of contents cover depending on how much you want to be insured for:
- Basic cover: covers $1,500 per ring up to a maximum of $7500
- Premier cover: covers $5,000 per ring up to a maximum of $25,000
You can even increase the limit if you wish.
